The management of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Kano State, has expelled 34 students and suspended 13 others for one academic session following their involvement in various forms of examination malpractice.
The disciplinary action was ratified during the university’s 123rd Senate meeting held on October 9, 2025, after reviewing the findings of the Examinations Regulations and Irregularities Committee.
In a statement issued on Friday by the institution’s Head of Information, Publications, and Public Relations, Mr. Abdullahi Datti, the university said the decision underscored its zero-tolerance stance on academic dishonesty.
According to the statement, the affected students were found guilty of different categories of examination misconduct after thorough investigations, while others received formal warning letters.
“The Senate approved the expulsion of 34 students and the suspension of 13 others for one academic session. The university remains resolute in upholding academic standards and ensuring discipline across all levels,” the statement read in part.
Datti further cautioned students to desist from all forms of academic infractions, adding that integrity remains the hallmark of the institution’s learning environment.
