Former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola has said that the good work of incumbent Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke is enough to convince anybody to follow him.
Oyinlola, while featuring on a private radio station, Rave FM Yoruba talk show, “Oro Oselu” noted further that people are not ready to test run governance with a new person.
“The good work of Adeleke is enough to convince anybody to follow him to the party he chooses. Osun people are not ready to test run governance with a new person.”
Responding to rumours about potential defection of Governor Adeleke from the PDP, Oyinlola said an agreement will convene a meeting after which he will announce his decision.
“Our governor wants a re-election. However, the crisis at the national level of PDP, we don’t know where it will lead to.
‘’According to INEC’s guideline, all parties must have concluded their primary before December 15, and our crisis in PDP is yet to be settled. What we will do is that when the governor returns, we will conclude on the matter because we have been talking.
“If he would decamp everyone of us will know. What is paramount to us is that the good works that Governor Adeleke is doing should not stop”, he added.
