Opinion: EbunOlu Adegoruwa not Adeleke Dancing Naked

I read a malicious piece attributed to Ebunolu Adegoruwa SAN, in which he raised his voice against Governor Adeleke in an unwarranted and unacceptable manner, unbecoming of a lawyer, how much more a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. The piece was nothing but touting and unprofessional soliciting through the social media media. It is so unfortunate that from the very first word of the unintelligible piece till the last word, Adegoruwa wrote from an uninformed position.

This is quite demeaning and unlawyerly especially in the part of an acclaimed SAN. I now understand that the likes of Adegoruwa seriously engage in touting by holding unsolicited social media briefs so as to attract to themselves briefs from those they are seemingly holding briefs for.

I would have forgiven Adegoruwa for his grave mis-adventure, however, for the reasons that he never sourced for necessary information from the NJC or even from the JUSUN, Osun State Branch, before dishing our his unpalatable concoction, he is liable.

Who is dancing naked? Is it Adeleke who, after receiving the initial House Resolutions, wrote to the NJC requesting for the NJC’s clearance to allow him swear him the next most senior judge as the State Chief Judge? It was this request that the NJC turned down.

Adegoruwa has not deemed it fit to make findings at the NJC, he would have been able to unravel the fact that, after the Assembly resolution was rejected by the NJC, those affected have personally written to the NJC directly. There are several petitions pending against the Osun Chief Judge at the NJC today, and in respect of some of them, the NJC has set up an investigative panel.

So, which petition against the Osun Chief Judge has now been dismissed by the NJC as erroneously and pompously postulated by Adegoruwa? I challenge EbunOlu Adegoruwa to bring out the petition that was dismissed by the NJC with respect to Osun Chief Judge. Is it the petition written by JUSUN directly to the NJC, or the ones written directly by the individual judicial staffs who have suffered high-handedness , abuse of power, disregard for rule of law and diversion of their monthly entitlements, in the hands of the Osun Chief Judge?

Who is now dancing naked? Is it Adeleke who recoursed to the NJC with all due respect, or Adegoruwa who did not bother to make his findings whether with the Osun Assembly, or with the JUSUN or even with the NJC before fouling the water of decent advocacy and soliciting.

Adegoruwa has descended so low by telling lies and dishing out misleading stories regarding Osun Chief Judge. He is the one who is now dancing naked in the market square for using his position as lawyer to confuse and mislead the people deliberately.

I tell Adegoruwa to get some more coins from those who sent him on such an unprofessional errand to take a journey to the NJC, to see whether he will come back to still tell us that the petitions against Osun Chief Judge have been dismissed by the NJC.

For a fact, it is EbunOlu Adegoruwa who is now dancing naked in the market square, and if he will hear the truth, he has fallen into a very grave error professionally by giving false information about the NJC.

Who will save him now?
