Osun Government to Resuscitate School Farms – Agric Special Adviser

In a bid to enhance agricultural education in Osun State, the Special Adviser on Agriculture to Governor Adeleke, Hon. Niran Atidade, recently visited the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Chairman, Hon. Ibukun Fadipe (IBK). The focus of the meeting was to deliberate on the revival of school farms across the state.

During the visit, both parties engaged in constructive discussions regarding the importance of integrating agriculture into the school curriculum. Hon. Fadipe expressed his support for the initiative, emphasizing its potential to enhance students’ practical understanding of agriculture and food production.

Aside from discussing the resuscitation of school farms, the meeting also addressed other key agricultural issues. Hon. Fadipe offered valuable advice to the Special Adviser on how to effectively navigate agricultural initiatives in the state.



Furthermore, the visit provided an opportunity for the Special Adviser to meet with the Chief Whip, Hon. Wale Akerele, the Honourable member representing Ilesa West State Constituency. This meeting aimed to further emphasize the significance of agriculture in the state’s development agenda and explore avenues for collaboration to achieve mutual goals in agricultural development and economic growth.

Both parties expressed their commitment to working together to revitalize school farms and promote agricultural education in Osun State. This collaboration is expected to yield positive results in advancing agricultural education and enhancing food security in the state.
