Makinde Presents Staff, Certificate of Office To Ladoja as 44th Olubadan

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Friday formally presented the staff and certificate of office to former governor of the state, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The historic ceremony, held at the iconic Mapo Hall in Ibadan, drew a distinguished audience, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, top government officials, traditional rulers, and thousands of indigenes who thronged the ancient city to witness the epoch-making event.

The presentation was made at exactly 3:05 p.m., marking the official confirmation of Oba Ladoja, Arusa I, as the Royal Father of Ibadanland.

In his remarks, Governor Makinde described the coronation as a defining moment in the history of the state and a unifying force for the people of Ibadan.

Makinde said, “this is a momentous occasion witnessed by God, by the people, and in the presence of President Bola Tinubu.

“In exercise of the powers vested in me as Governor of Oyo State, I hereby present the staff and certificate of office to His Imperial Majesty, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.”
