The Imo State Police Command has arrested three of its personnel following the emergence of a viral video allegedly linking them to a notorious cult group.
The affected officers, identified as Inspector Obinna Peter, Corporal Amaechi Augustine, and Corporal Ejikeme Victor, were taken into custody after the video surfaced showing them wearing insignia associated with the Vikings confraternity.
Police spokesperson in the state, ASP Henry Okoye, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Saturday.
He said the officers are currently undergoing disciplinary procedures at the command headquarters in Owerri and will face an orderly room trial on Monday.
