The Federal Government has announced the release of shortlisted names for applicants who took part in the recent recruitment exercise into the nation’s four major paramilitary agencies.

This was made known in a statement issued late Wednesday by the Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), Maj. Gen. A.M. Jibril (Rtd.).

According to the statement, candidates who applied for positions under the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) can begin checking their application status on the official portal — https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — starting from Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Jibril explained that the portal also contains information on each shortlisted applicant’s Computer-Based Test (CBT) schedule, including the date, time, and venue of the examination.

He urged applicants to rely solely on information provided through the official website and to disregard messages from unauthorized individuals or social media platforms claiming to represent the Board.

The retired general further warned candidates against dealing with fraudsters who promise to influence the recruitment process, stressing that the entire exercise remains transparent, merit-driven, and free of favoritism.

He added that the ongoing recruitment aims to strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture and improve public safety and service delivery across all paramilitary formations under the supervision of the CDCFIB.
