Obasa’s Son Becomes Agege LG Chairman as Azeez Resigns
The Chairman of Agege Local Government Area of Lagos State, Hon. Tunde Azeez, popularly known as Disco, has resigned from office.
He cited health challenges that have hindered his ability to continue discharging his duties effectively.
Hon. Azeez’s resignation takes immediate effect.
His resignation was formally received and read during the council’s legislative session, where lawmakers unanimously accepted his decision.
The House, while acknowledging Azeez’s service to the people of Agege, noted that his resignation reinforced the importance of prioritizing personal health and well-being in public service.
Following the acceptance of his resignation, the Legislative Council unanimously approved Hon. AbdulGaniyu Vinod Obasa as the substantive Chairman of the local government.
Vinod, who had been serving in the council, is the son of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.
