President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday swore in two newly appointed ministers at a brief ceremony held just before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House, Abuja.

The new appointees, Mr. Bernard Doro from Plateau State and Dr. Kingsley Udeh from Enugu State, were recently confirmed by the Senate, following the resignation of their predecessors, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda and Chief Uche Nnaji.

Mr. Doro replaces Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, while Dr. Udeh takes over from Nnaji as Minister of Science, Innovation, and Technology.

President Tinubu, while congratulating the new ministers, charged them to bring fresh energy and commitment to the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that public service demands integrity, discipline, and measurable results.

The President also expressed confidence that their inclusion would strengthen the cabinet’s capacity to deliver on key national priorities, especially in the areas of poverty reduction, technological advancement, and social welfare.

The swearing-in restores Plateau and Enugu States’ representation in the Federal Executive Council, which had been vacant following the exit of their previous ministers.

The brief ceremony was attended by top government officials, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and other members of the Federal Executive Council.
