Activist Rinu Oduala Refuses to Serve in NYSC, Calls It a Protest Against a “Failed Government”

Human-rights campaigner and former #EndSARS activist Rinu Oduala announced on social media today that she will not report for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

She said her decision is a protest against what she described as a “failed government.”

In a message addressed to young Nigerians, she wrote: “I am a recent graduate and I will not report for NYSC … I refused to serve in a time when Nigerians were being slaughtered.”

She added that if her stance costs her a future job or appointment, so be it, ending her statement with the hashtag #BoycottNYSC.
