Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has celebrated his nephew and award-winning music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, on the occasion of his birthday.
He stated that the celebrant is an inspiring symbol of what determination can achieve.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke praised the Grammy Award nominee for his drive to excel despite obstacles, saying Davido’s rise and sustained dominance in the global music space reflect discipline, dedication, and hard work.
The governor commended Davido for upholding the Adeleke family’s long-standing tradition of philanthropy, noting his consistent efforts in mentoring young talents and using his resources to uplift the less privileged.
According to him, Davido’s generosity and commitment to empowering others have earned him admiration across generations.
“A hearty birthday celebration to my son, David Adeleke (aka Davido). David is a manifestation of what is possible with a will, and I cannot but glorify God Almighty for the talent in him and how he has taken it to the global stage,” the governor said.
Adeleke further remarked that Davido’s work ethic, which is evident in the countless hours spent in studios and on stages, continues to inspire millions around the world.
He described the singer as “a treasure not only to the Adeleke family, but to Nigeria as a whole” for his role in uniting people through music and sparking hope in many.
