Tinubu Submits Ambassadorial Nominees to Senate
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has transmitted a fresh list of ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation.
The announcement was made on Wednesday by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during plenary, which was streamed via the National Assembly’s official YouTube channel.
According to the communication from the President, the nominees are:
Kayode Are – Ogun State
Aminu Dalhatu – Jigawa State
Ayodele Oke
Akpabio noted that the names represent the first batch of nominations. “There are three nominees at the moment. More submissions are expected,” he told lawmakers after reading the letter.
The development marks the President’s first set of ambassadorial appointments since assuming office in 2023.
Further details are expected as the Senate proceeds with the confirmation process.
