Residents of Ede in Osun State on Friday trooped out in large numbers for the Imole Road Show, in what organisers described as a show of support for Governor Ademola Adeleke and his administration.
The procession, which commenced at Cottage Junction, moved through Akoda to Oke Gada.
What began as a vehicular road show later turned into a mass walk as many participants abandoned their vehicles to join others on foot.
Eyewitnesses said the crowd continued to swell as the procession advanced, with participants chanting and expressing support along the route.
From Oke Gada, the rally moved through Orita Alajue to Agip and later returned to Orita Cottage, as supporters echoed messages backing the governor’s leadership.
An organiser of the event said, “What we witnessed was more than a road show; it was a clear demonstration of the people’s support and belief in the current administration.”
Another participant noted that “the turnout speaks volumes, and the message is clear that Ede people stand solidly behind the Imole movement.”
The Majority Leader of the Osun State House of Assembly, Babajide Kofoworola, was among prominent figures present at the event, alongside other political leaders.
The Executive Chairman of Ede South Local Government, Lukman Afolabi Abere, was commended for his role in coordinating the programme.
The road show was supported by groups including The Pathfinder Team, Country Home Youth Forum, the People First Movement, and Adeleke General Summit.
Organisers said the event reflects what they described as growing grassroots support for the administration, adding that supporters remain committed to continuity and development in the state.
