In a recent statement posted on Tuesday, September 5, the Nigerian Police Force has issued a firm caution against the proliferation of unverified statements and misinformation as the judgment day for the presidential tribunal looms. Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), conveyed this message via the force’s official Twitter page.
Adejobi emphasized, “The force is resolute in its commitment to preventing any activities that could potentially incite violence or lead to a breakdown of order.” He further highlighted that the police have bolstered the nation’s security infrastructure, thwarting any attempts to disrupt law and order across the country.
Adejobi sternly warned against the dissemination of incendiary remarks that could jeopardize the prevailing peace in the country in the lead-up to the tribunal’s judgment. The Nigerian Police Force is steadfast in its determination to maintain law and order and curb any spread of misinformation that could undermine the nation’s stability.
