Bad Road Published By Tribune Was Constructed By Oyetola Administration- Osun Gov’t

The Osun state government has said that the road published as advertorial on the front page of the Nigerian Tribune by the Osun APC on August 4th, 2026 was constructed by the former Governor Gboyega Oyetola Administration and not Ademola Adelekes.
The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi in a statement on Tuesday stated that the road is located at Mukoro, Ile Ife, not Modakeke as indicated in the advertorial.
The statement reads in part, “We attached the GPS coordinates of the said road for fact check and verification through google search.
“The Adeleke Administration has a number of projects in Ife and Modakeke. This is not one of them. The one we have in the area has not even been marked. This is misinformation by whoever placed the advert. The publication is therefore simply fake news.
“The Adeleke administration has been doing a lot of remediation and corrective work on several projects inherited from the Oyetola administration. The attempt of Osun APC to push its defects on the Adeleke government is therefore deceitful.
“We urge members of the public to fact check to verify the fact that the said road was constructed by the Oyetola administration.”
