The Chairman, People’s Democratic Party in Osun State, Hon Sunday Bisi has debunked the news that Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke intend to dump the party, stating that the party remains united.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday in Osogbo, the Osun state capital, the Chairman described the news as falsehood orchestrated by jittery elements within the opposition party, APC.
He then appreciated the people of Osun state for their unrelenting support and constant engagement adding that the public show of love are not taken for granted.
The statement reads, “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State wishes to categorically debunk and denounce the unfounded rumours making the rounds about any purported Imminent decamping by its leader, Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, or the established structures of the party to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).
“This falsehood, clearly orchestrated by jittery elements within the opposition, is a desperate attempt to distract the people of Osun State from the ongoing transformation being championed by His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.
“We understand the tension and anxiety these rumours have generated among our teeming members, supporters, and stakeholders. Let it be firmly stated that the PDP remains intact, cohesive, and more committed than ever to the renewed mission of rescuing and rebuilding Osun State. Those peddling the lie of decamping are merely rejected politicians and agents of retrogression, who are terrified by the growing popularity and performance of Governor Adeleke, despite their continued attempts to derail the people-centered progress being made.
“Let it also be known that the PDP administration, in line with its open-door policy, remains transparent and inclusive. The good people of Osun will continue to be carried along in all political and governance processes.
“Your voices are heard, your feedbacks are valued, and your concerns are being addressed with utmost sincerity.
“We urge the citizens of Osun to dismiss the mischief of those whose only legacy is to plunder the resources of our dear state. The Adeleke administration, backed by the PDP, is focused on service delivery, responsive governance, and the upliftment of all communities across our dear state.
“To the people of Osun, your unrelenting support, constant engagement, and public show of love are not taken for granted. We remain grateful and even more committed to the collective dreams of a greater Osun State.”
