The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, will be officially crowned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Governor Seyi Makinde has given his formal approval for the coronation following the recommendation of the Olubadan-in-Council.
Confirming the development, Chief Adeola Oloko, media aide to Oba Ladoja, said in a telephone interview: “Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, 26 September 2025.”
The historic ceremony is scheduled to hold at Mapo Hall, Ibadan.
Ahead of the coronation, Oba Ladoja held a closed-door meeting with the kingmakers on Tuesday at his residence on Ondo Street, Old Bodija, Ibadan North Local Government Area.
The meeting, which lasted nearly two hours, was the first since his return following the demise of the immediate past Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.
