Osun 2026: Omisore to Declare Ambition Sept 30
A former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Otunba Senator Dr. Engr. Iyiola Omisore, will on Tuesday, September 30, officially declare his intention to contest the 2026 governorship election in the state.
The declaration is scheduled to hold at the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Secretariat in Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo, by 10 a.m.
Party stakeholders, executives, members, and supporters of the ruling party have been invited to the event, which is also open to members of the public.
According to information gathered by Osun Spring Newspaper, Omisore will use the platform to unveil parts of his blueprint for Osun State as well as highlight his previous contributions to governance and development.
The former senator, who served as deputy governor under Chief Bisi Akande in 1999, is widely regarded as one of Osun’s most experienced politicians.
