2026: Oyebamiji Lacks Real Political Experience - Osun Ex-Commissioner

A former Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Osun State, Lani Baderinwa has said that Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress Candidate in the 2026 gubernatorial election lacks real political experience.

Stating this on his Facebook page on Monday, Baderinwa noted that aside been appointed, this is Oyebamiji’s first shot at elective office adding that he hasn’t campaign to be a Councillor before.

He added that Oyebamiji’s claim that he is facing a goal post without a goal keeper is because he belongs to the ruling party which is preparing to rig elections by manipulation and big time spending, use Federal government influence on INEC, security and sundry agencies.

He said, “I thought Asiwaju Muniru Bola Oyebamiji is said to be wise and Godly.
No human being with wisdom and fear of God will say the kind of thing he was quoted to have said recently.

“Oyebamiji worked as an aide to Gov Gboyega Oyetola. That government got so arrogant with power that “agbele mo” (we will not leave power again) became a rampant cliche within its circle and amongst the general populace.

That government lost the next election and the participants scrambled out of power.
There was a candidate who was awaiting his been declared winner but died in anticipation of his victory.

“Yet a Governor elect was on the parade grounds, preparing in rehearsal for his swearing in but had his victory aborted and his opponent was sworn in, in his place.
What is funny, or rather of concern in Oyebamiji ‘s case is that, in the count of real political experience, he doesn’t have a chance.

“Aside been appointed, this is his first shot at elective office. He hasn’t campaign to be a Councillor before. You will wonder what is it that tickles or thrilled him so much that makes him say what he said.

“May be because he belongs to the ruling party which is preparing to rig elections by manipulation and big time spending, use Federal government influence on INEC, security and sundry agencies.

“Oyebamiji’s party doesn’t enjoy favour with the people of Osun because the 4 years spent by his boss, Oyetola counts next to nothing. Hence, there is next to no achievement to affix to it’s name.

“He must think his chi is made superior to that of all other citizens of Osun, that he has the election to win without stress, even with a sitting governor and a former House Speaker are in the race.

“There would be some, within Oyebamiji’s party who knows that election is beyond mere foolish wish. It’s a fact that horse are not wishes and Oyebamiji’s beggar can not ride this one.”
