Adeleke Gains Support in Owode Ede as BOA Sisters Hold Rally

By Waliu Adetokun, Osogbo

Residents of Owode Ede in Osun State have pledged strong support for Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election, following a rally organized by the Baleeqis Olayemi Akinleye (BOA) Sisters.

The rally, led by Dr. B.O. Akinleye, drew a large turnout of community members, leaders and supporters, who gathered to demonstrate their backing for the governor’s second-term bid.

Addressing the crowd, Dr. Akinleye described Owode Ede as her “second home” and commended the level of development recorded under Adeleke’s administration since he assumed office.

She said the governor’s performance had justified the need for continuity.

According to her, “the progress recorded across Osun State in the last few years is evident for all to see. Continuity will ensure that these gains are not only sustained but expanded.”

She urged residents to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts by engaging others at the community level and encouraging them to support the governor at the polls.

“Come August 15, all we need to do is place our thumbs on the first party on the ballot to secure a brighter future for Osun,” she added.

The rally featured chants and expressions of support, as participants commended the governor’s people oriented policies and projects, particularly those that have impacted Owode Ede and neighbouring communities.

Some community leaders who spoke at the event assured the organizers of their commitment to delivering substantial votes for the governor in the forthcoming election.

One of the leaders said, “this administration has shown genuine concern for the welfare of the people, and we will reciprocate that with our votes.”

The community also expressed appreciation to Kazeem Akinleye, Chief of Staff to the Governor, for his continued support and contributions to development in the area.
The rally is part of ongoing political activities across the state as stakeholders intensify mobilization ahead of the governorship poll.
