Osun Accord Affirms Mudashiru as Iwo Federal Constituency Rep Candidate

Accord in Osun state has affirmed Hon Lukman Mudashiru Alani (L&K) as House of Representatives Candidate for Ayediire/Iwo/Ola Oluwa Federal Constituency of the state.

Accord in a statement by its Chairman, Pastor Victor Akande stated that it has noted with concern a statement circulating in the public space in which one Engr Ayodeji Lukman Bello laid claim to the party’s candidature for the House of Representatives, Ayedire/Iwo/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency.

The party maintained that Hon Lukman Mudashiru Alani emerged through the validly conducted nomination process of the party, and his particulars have already been uploaded to the portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The statement reads “For the avoidance of doubt, the Accord wishes to state unequivocally that Hon Lukman Mudashiru Alani is the duly nominated candidate of our great party for the AYIWOLA Federal Constituency.

“The party maintains that Hon Lukman Mudashiru Alani emerged through the validly conducted nomination process of the party, and his particulars have already been uploaded to the portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Act.

“Accordingly, we urge members of the public, party faithful, and our numerous supporters to disregard any contrary claim capable of creating confusion or misleading the electorate. The official position of the Accord remains clear and unambiguous.

“We also advise all party members and sympathisers to desist from actions, statements, or conduct capable of igniting unnecessary controversy or bringing the name of our great party into disrepute. At this critical period, unity, discipline, and respect for the party’s lawful decisions must remain our guiding principles.

“Our great party, Accord, remains committed to internal democracy, the rule of law, and due process. We call on all stakeholders to close ranks and channel their energies toward ensuring victory for all Accord candidates in the forthcoming elections.”
