Several months after the immediate past Governor of Osun State had inaugurated a reconciliation committee for his Ilerioluwa faction of the party, to be led by Prof Isaac Adewole, Osun Spring has learnt that it has become practically impossible for the committee to achieve any form of result.

It was gathered that since the former governor inaugurated the committee and was subsequently appointed minister, a lot of interest has divided the committee, stopping it from holding meetings or reaching achieving a tangible result.

Osun Spring gathered further that a number of the inauguration committee members had relocated to Abuja to lobby themselves an appointment using the the former governor, now ministers influence.

A source within the party who pleaded anonymity, revealed to our correspondent that with the way things are going within the party, its not certain Osun APC means business.

The source sighted example of how Hon. Mudasiru Hussain, a loyalist of Former Governor Rauf Aregbesola who was nominated by President Bola Tinubu as a Commissioner with National Population Commission was reportedly replaced by Dr Amidu Tadese a loyalist of Former Governor Oyetola, which was report to be based on Oyetola’s request.

The source said ‘I have been a member of the APC before Oyetola became governor and will continue to be as long as I am alive.

“The issue with our party is that people have different interest and everybody wants their interests to be served all at once which is practically impossible.

“Take a look at committee that Oyetola setup and called reconciliation, many of the members now shuttle Abuja and Osogbo, some has even relocated to Abuja just to hustle for appointment, so its more like the appointment in Abuja is more important that building the party that gave them the platform in the first place.

“I can tell you for a fact, that committee will fail because already its clear they were given an impossible job to do and they are not meeting, even if they do, how are they able to reach out the other faction they were supposed to reconcile with?

“Another instance is how Hon Mudasiru Hussain was nominated by President Bola Tinubu to be a commissioner at the National Population Commission but when the announcement was made, Former Governor Oyetola blocked it and subsequently made sure he was replaced by his loyalist, Dr. Amidu Tadese.

“This is the same act he exhibited as Governor in Osun that tore apart our party and made us lose the election eventually, they want reconciliation but they don’t obviously don’t know what they want”.
