Osun Lawmaker Offers Scholarship To 177 Indigent Students

A member of the House of Representatives from Ayediire/Iwo/Ola Oluwa Federal Constituency, Hon. Lukman Kayode Mudashiru has offered full scholarship to 177 indigent students from his constituency.

Osun Spring reports that the Scholarship which are in two categories, were awarded to 75 students into Ahman Pategi University, Kwara state and 102 students into Federal College of Education, Iwo, Osun state.

A statement personally signed by Hon. Mudashiru, and made available to Osun Spring Iwo on Saturday noted that beneficiaries of the programme are enrolled under the Lukman Kayode Mudashiru Scholarship Scheme.



He stated that millions of naira have been set aside to sponsor students in to these two partnering institutions noting that this it is only the first batch as other batches will come later.

“To ensure transparency and efficient selection process, I constituted a Scholarship Committee comprising of respected individuals from the community. The committee is led by Prince Lekan Lamuye as the Chairman, supported by Com. Adekunle Ibrahim as the Vice Chairman, and Chief Bilawu Morufu as the Secretary. Additionally, Mr. Lamidi Kamoru Adeyeye and Hon. Ibrahim Akala were appointed as members of the committee.

“This initiative is a testament to my unwavering dedication to educational upliftment in our community. I am determined to ensure that deserving students receive the support they need to pursue higher education”, he added.

Mudashiru noted further that the selection process was fair as exams and screening was conducted before final selection was made adding the scholarship will run through their entire study period as a student.
