Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke, will today, Thursday, submit the 2024 budget proposals to the State House of Assembly at 10am.
A statement by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Olawale Rasheed noted that the Governor had earlier written the House Speaker, Rt. Hon Adewale Egbedun on the proposed submission as statutorily stipulated by extant laws.
Osun Spring reports that in a step that cleared any hurdle over the presentation, the State Chairman, Parliamentary Staff Association Of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter, Comrade Adekunle Adesina said the ongoing strike would be temporarily discontinued in order to enable the Governor present the Appropriation bill for the next fiscal year.
Comrade Adesina also confirmed the readiness of the assembly workers to receive the Governor at the assembly premises.
The Governor is to be accompanied by members of the State Executive Council and the leadership of the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
