The Newly installed Aree of Iree in Boripe local government area of Osun State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Muritala Omotayo Oyelakin Oyekun III has appreciated the Osun State government for its support that saw his emergence as Traditional ruler of the Community promising his loyalty to the government at all times.

The Oil Magnet, who is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of IBROLAK was selected and nominated to ascend the Aree of Iree stool by the town’s Kingmakers and subsequently appointed by the state government.

Oba Oyelakin arrived in Iree in the early hours of Thursday amid pop and pageantry to begin the process that will lead to his official installation.

The Monarch in a statement he personally signed upon completion of the Traditional rite to ascend the throne of his forefather praised the Osun State government led by his excellency Senator Ademola Adeleke for following due process in his appointment as the Aree of Iree land.

The event was attended by a huge crowd, including the Head of the Family, kingmakers, baales, chiefs, elders, clerics, traditional priests, women, youths and other eminent members of the National Executive of the Iree Progressive Association (IPA)

Amidst singing, prayers and thunderous shouts of “kabiyesi” by the crowd, the Oba Oyelakin appreciated God for making his selection and installation possible and also thanked those present.

Oba Oyelakin pledged to continue to support the state government , as well as use his wealth of experience to bring about socio-economic development to his domain and the state in general.

“I feel fulfilled for the selection as the paramount ruler, the Aree of the Iree kingdom. During my obaship, I will cooperate with the local and state governments to engender effective rapid development in the critical areas of infrastructure, basic social amenities, and economic, business,and educational development which have eluded Iree land long before now because we had no Oba to pursue our matters”, the monarch noted.
