The man at the centre of the widely publicised Ilesa poisoning incident, Ebenezer, has spoken for the first time since the attack.

He debunked rumours of his death and appealing for urgent financial assistance to aid his recovery.

In an exclusive interview conducted by journalist and advocate, Bode Olawoye, popularly known as Emotion Clinic, Ebenezer confirmed that he is still battling severe stomach pain from the toxic substance allegedly forced down his throat during the incident.

“I am alive, but I am still in pain. My father, who was my main source of support, died from shock after hearing about what happened to me. I now have no one to rely on,” Ebenezer said, his voice heavy with emotion.

The incident, which sparked outrage across Ijesaland and on social media, has been the subject of intense public debate, with law enforcement agencies reportedly investigating the circumstances.

Ebenezer’s appeal comes amid growing calls for justice and stronger protection for vulnerable citizens.

Community members and rights advocates have urged well-meaning Nigerians to come to Ebenezer’s aid as he struggles with the physical and emotional toll of the attack and the sudden loss of his father.
