“Mere Family Disagreement” – Osun Deputy Governor Reacts To ‘Vote of No Confidence’ Report

The Office of the Deputy Governor of Osun State has debunked media reports suggesting that some political stakeholders in Ife Federal Constituency passed a vote of no confidence and suspended Deputy Governor Prince Kola Adewusi and PDP Board of Trustees member, Prof. Wale Oladipo.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Goke Awoyemi, the Deputy Governor described the development as a mere family disagreement within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which should not be blown out of proportion.

He went on to acknowledge that internal disagreements are normal in party politics and maintained that such wranglings should strengthen rather than weaken the collective resolve to serve the people.

He appealed to stakeholders in Ifeland to sheath their swords and allow the top hierarchy of the PDP to handle the matter through established conflict resolution mechanisms.

“This is not the season to celebrate crisis but to put efforts together and gear up towards celebrating the victory of our hard-working and performing Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, in August 2026,” the statement read.

The Deputy Governor further urged the public and the media to regard the reports as a “storm in a teacup.”

“Just as families resolve their differences behind closed doors, this matter will be settled amicably in the spirit of unity and togetherness,” he added.

He concluded by saying the PDP remains united and committed to its mission of service.
