Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has approved the release of two coastal buses, rehabilitation of internal campus roads, and the reactivation of bursary awards for students across the state.
The governor announced the approvals at the Government House, Osogbo, on Saturday while receiving student leaders from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Council (Osun Axis), and the National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS).
Adeleke, who expressed appreciation for the overwhelming endorsement of his administration by the student bodies.
He also said his government would not take the confidence reposed in him for granted.
“I hereby approve two coastal buses for NANS and NAOSS as well as technical assessment on all campus internal roads. The issue of bursary is to receive urgent attention as I would strengthen the office of students’ affairs under my office,” he declared to the excitement of the students.
The governor stressed that his administration had received wide acceptance across all strata of society, including workers, farmers, artisans, and youths, pledging to consolidate on ongoing reforms to ensure Osun people enjoy more dividends of democracy.
Student leaders at the event commended Adeleke’s performance in education, health, workers’ welfare, agriculture, and infrastructure.
They affirmed that his government had surpassed the achievements of the previous administration in less than three years.
They described the governor as a listening leader who had touched lives in various sectors, promising to mobilize massive support for his re-election bid.
