Dirge to Osun tormentor

0 0

The most anticipated date, so far,  in Osun’s political history is none other than August 8, 2026. It is the day lies and truth will engage in a contest at the market place.

It is the day light and darkness will engage in physical battle. It is the day Osun people will confront their tormentors with a red car of rejection.

The day will also sound the death bell for power drunk elders of the land behaving like wicked gods feeding on human blood.

It is the day the judgement will be passed on those that seized allocation due to local government areas in the state.

It is the day the fake persona stifling Osun’s development would be unclad in the open. His crocky voice will be matched with his midget, ‘giegie’ frame.

The man that owns the voice carrying heavy ‘jagbajantis’ woven in the emotionless cotton of wickedness would be known.

The homegrown terrorist, hater of humanity and number one enemy of Osun  people will be dragged round Old Garage Roundabout in shame.

He will be dressed in shame and forced to drink out of the cup of sorrow that he has fed Osun local government workers with.

Through the activities of this being, Osun LG workers had been kept out of their workplace since February. The blood sucking monster is on the prowl, seeking flesh to feed his demons.

But are the Osun people unaware of the undesired presence of this man in their affairs and the negative effects of that? The answer is no. They know the evil genius and they are obviously ready to uproot that tree bearing sour fruits.

It was not meant to be a meeting around politics, but it ended up being one. Alhaja Ramota, a pepper seller in Alamisi Market, Ikirun, was minding her business that busy market day when her colleague, ‘Debisi, an itinerant yam seller from Offa Kwara State introduced politics into their discussion.

‘Debisi was congratulating her friend on the steady pace of work on the flagship Osogbo/Ikirun/Ilaodo Kwara Boundary road. Ramota, upon hearing the prayers effortlessly flowing from her friend to the financier of the project, Senator Ademola Adeleke, hurriedly collected money from the man that just bought pepper from her and gave full concentration to her friend from Offa.

“The man, Adeleke is doing so well that the opposition party and its ‘kuekue’ leader, have to use their influence in Abuja to stop the monthly allocation that Osun should get,” Ramota said.

“They know that Adeleke can’t be stopped again with the quality of the projects and the number of those initiatives that are evenly spread across the state.

“They know Osun will not listen to them and their lies. But they are doing everything to frustrate his reelection. Mark my word, Osun will pay them back in their own coin.

“They won’t come back here. We will reject them in 2026. We are praying for the election to come. We are praying for him to complete this (Osogbo/Kwara road) project soonest,” she concluded.

That conversation took place inside Oja Alamisi in Ikirun. The two persons involved are not completely literate. But they know their left from the right. They spoke the minds of over 80% of the Osun adult populace.

Assuming that the tormentor of Osun people did see properly likewise his siteless supporters, they should be able to hear, unless suffering double calamity of loss of sight and hearing simultaneously.

I will however help their situation and join Ramota to enlighten these children of anger about how Governor Adeleke has changed Osun infrastructural landscape in less than three years.

Only an anti-people party will claim not to see the almost 322 kilometers of roads across the state, the 200 health centre renovations, the rehabilitation of more than 100 schools, the ongoing dualisation across several towns, the ongoing upgrading and rehabilitation of several water works, the multibillion naira local and grassroots development projects, the flyover bridges, the new tractors, the ongoing renovation and upgrading of Osogbo stadium to a five star standard among others.

Only a party set for another rejection in 2026 will deny the payment of half salaries owed workers and which the APC failed to pay while it governed the state. Pensioners are living witnesses of how state funds are being spent to offset pension debt which APC refused to pay and being liquidated by Governor Ademola Adeleke. The enrollment of over 30, 000 pensioners in the state health insurance scheme is an unprecedented policy which even the Federal Government has now adopted.”

Are we to talk of how Adeleke has reduced the humongous Osun debt stock by 40 percent according to the Federal Debt Management Office?

Yet, he has not borrowed a kobo from 2022 to date. Out of selflessness, the governor is not collecting security votes and instead ensures that security expenditures are treated and processed within the approval system.

As exposed in the encounter involving Ramota and Debisi, Osun people are aware that since the seizure of Osun local government funds by the APC, Governor Ademola Adeleke has been shouldering the financial burdens of the local governments.

This ensures that thousands of families working across sectors at the local government levels do not go hungry as intended by those who masterminded the illegal seizure of the LG fund.

Let the telltale carry it from cities to towns, not forgetting villages, that Osun has spoken and will deliver a judgement good enough in paying evil doers back in their own coin on August 8, 2026. Adeleke will be reelected and the merchants of evil will bury their heads in shame.
