Rep. Bamidele Salam To Inaugurate Ramadan Food and welfare packages Distribution Committee

The lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State in the National Assembly, Representative Bamidele Salam, has announced the composition of a 15-member committee to handle this year’s distribution of food and other welfare packages for vulnerable members of his constituency during the forthcoming Ramadhan fasting.
The Committee which is headed by Chairman of Ede Muslim Council, Dr Misbahudeen Idris will be formally on Sunday, 15th February at the Constituency office in Ede.
According to a statement issued by the Media office of the lawmaker and obtained on the official Facebook page of the lawmaker, the committee comprises Islamic religious leaders, local government representatives, women leaders, and other community stakeholders from across the four local governments in the constituency.
Salam stated that the committee’s structure is designed to ensure transparency, equity, and effective coordination in the distribution of food palliatives to residents during the holy month of Ramadan.
He explained that the initiative is part of his ongoing efforts to support constituents particularly the vulnerable by easing the economic burden often associated with the fasting period.
The committee has been mandated to identify and invite beneficiaries accordingly, ensuring that the distribution process is orderly, fair, and impactful across all communities in the constituency.
Members of the Committee include Dr. Musibaudeen Olatunde – Chairman; Umar Salman – Secretary; Alh. Sikiru Olayiwola; Alh. Moshood Salawu; Alh. Sulaimon Adebayo; Hon. Raimi Nafisat Sofoluwe; Prince Larry Lawal; Alh. Amidu Olagoke; Mrs. Ogun Sherifat.
Others are Alhaja Bello Iyabo Fasilat – Ede North; Mr. Olayiwola Ismaila – Ede North; Mr. Waliu Adeniyi – Ede South; Alfa Lati Oyelude – Egbedore; Imam Hussain Akintegbe – Ejigbo; Alh. Adegbite Muideen – NASFAT Representative
