Kunle Rasheed Adegoke, a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has declared his readiness to contest the 2026 governorship election, describing himself as the most qualified among the party’s hopefuls.
Adegoke, popularly known as K-RAD, made the declaration at a political gathering in the state, where he emphasised his long-standing loyalty and personal sacrifices for the APC.
The legal practitioner said he had consistently invested his personal resources in strengthening the party without demanding financial returns or political compensation.
“I have been in this party for a long time, and I have spent my hard-earned money on its growth like no other,” he said. “If anyone has contributed more from their personal purse, let them come forward. I can boldly say that no one has done as much, and I am happy I did it for our party.”
The aspirant stressed that his commitment to the APC remained unmatched, noting that his dedication was beyond personal interests.
“All I do is for APC; I have never extended such efforts to any other political platform,” he added. “Some advised me not to say this again, but I believe in rendering help when it is needed. I have worked tirelessly for the party, and I am confident in my record of service.”
With the next governorship election approaching, Adegoke urged party stakeholders to look beyond sentiment and rally behind the most competent candidate to address the state’s challenges.
“If the person you are supporting is more capable than I am, then endorse them. But if not, we must choose wisely so that our children will not continue to suffer hunger and hardship,” he said.
Adegoke further revealed that he had documented his contributions to the party over the years, underscoring his consistency and faith in the APC.
“I am ready to govern Osun. I have worshipped this party diligently, and I pray to God to grant me the grace to serve the people as governor,” he declared.
