The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ilesa West Local Government Area of Osun State has expressed strong confidence that Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke will coast to victory in the August 8, 2026, governorship election with a commanding margin of not less than 200,000 votes.
The party leaders, who made the declaration during a strategic meeting held on Sunday, said the PDP remains firmly united and poised for another sweeping victory across the state.
They described Governor Adeleke as a “performer whose people-oriented leadership and developmental strides” have endeared him to the electorate, assuring that Osun people will reward him with a landslide mandate at the polls.
“Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke will secure a resounding re-election victory, with over 200,000 votes margin, reflecting the people’s trust in his leadership and ongoing developmental strides across the state,” the PDP leaders said in a communiqué issued after the meeting.
They reaffirmed that the PDP structure in Ilesa West and across Osun remains solid, adding that the unity within the party will translate into overwhelming support for Adeleke’s re-election bid.
The leaders also urged members to sustain grassroots mobilisation and ensure continued alignment with the governor’s policies aimed at advancing infrastructure, education, healthcare, and workers’ welfare.
