Osun 2026: Ex-Lawmaker Joins Governorship Race

Dr. Mulikat Abiola Jimoh has officially entered the 2026 Osun governorship race under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday.

She is currently the only female aspirant in the contest so far.

Dr. Mulikat, a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly and ex-lecturer known for her fierce advocacy against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and other social injustices, obtained her expression of interest and nomination forms at the APC secretariat amid a rousing reception from supporters, women groups, and youth organisations.
