Four die, others injured in Osun road accident

A tragic multiple accident in Osun State has claimed the lives of four persons with 20 others
injured.
The accident occurred at Ikeji-Arakeji along Osun/Ondo road in Ori-Ade Local Government Area of the State.
The accident which involved three vehicles – two buses and a truck – was attributed to overspeeding and careless driving.
In a viral video, passengers, including two corps members were seen lying injured on the ground.
Commandant of the Federal Road Safety Commission(FRSC), Taofeek Sokunbi, blamed the accident on overspeeding and careless driving.
He said: “The accident occurred three days ago. Four people died and twenty people were injured. The accident occurred when there was a speed breaker.
“I want to urge drivers to drive carefully on the road because the accident was caused by overspeeding. The accident was caused by carelessness on the part of the driver.“
