Governor Ademola Adeleke has approved the payment of another tranche of half salary arrears owed to Osun State civil servants and statutory pensioners by the past All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration.
With the latest disbursement, a total of 11 months of half salaries have now been cleared for both active workers and retirees, leaving 17 months yet to be paid.
The Governor has also fully offset the 30-month half salary backlog owed to workers under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), fulfilling a major aspect of his administration’s commitment to labour welfare.
The payment is part of the ongoing phased settlement of inherited salary arrears, reflecting Adeleke’s people-focused governance and dedication to restoring dignity to public service in Osun State.
Government sources confirm that the disbursement aligns with Governor Adeleke’s pledge to prioritize workers’ welfare without neglecting ongoing infrastructural and social development projects across the state.
