The Olojudo of Ido-Osun, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ishola Olayinka Oyetunde Jokotola II, has lauded the ongoing dualisation of the Ede–Oke Gada–Ido-Osun–Ofatedo Road.

He described it as a hallmark of Governor Ademola Adeleke administration’s commitment to infrastructural renewal and economic growth in Osun State.

In a message shared on his official Facebook page yesterday, the monarch expressed delight at the “remarkable progress” recorded on the project site, commending Governor Adeleke’s “visionary leadership and unwavering dedication” to the development of the state.

According to Oba Jokotola, the project, which is billed for completion within six months, will deliver lasting socio-economic benefits to the people and open up new opportunities for commerce, connectivity, and community development.

While acknowledging the displacement that will occur due to the expansion, the Olojudo sympathised with residents whose buildings and properties will be affected.

He urged them to see their sacrifice as a contribution to the greater good, assuring them of divine comfort and restoration.

“I encourage them to view this as a noble sacrifice for the greater good of our communities, and I pray for God’s blessings, comfort, and restoration upon them,” the monarch said.

The royal father inspected the project in the company of his Chiefs and Mogajis, underscoring the traditional institution’s full support for the “Imole” leadership in driving transformative initiatives across Osun State.

The Ede–Oke Gada–Ido-Osun–Ofatedo road project is part of the Adeleke administration’s aggressive infrastructure expansion agenda, aimed at improving road networks, boosting trade, and enhancing mobility for residents and visitors alike.
