The Olofa of Ofatedo in Osun State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulahi Okunloye Agunloye, has joined his ancestors.
He’s aged 110.
The late monarch, who was crowned in 1981, reigned for 44 years and was widely respected for his commitment to peace, unity, and community development.
Tributes have continued to pour in following the news of his passing.
Among them was the lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Bamidele Salam, who described the late traditional ruler as “a beacon of peace, unity, and wisdom.”
Salam noted that Oba Agunloye was not just a king but a father figure, peacemaker, and strong advocate of grassroots development, whose reign brought stability and progress to Ofatedo and contributed to the growth of Osun State.
He condoled with the royal family, the Ofatedo community, and the Osun State Traditional Council, urging them to take solace in the enduring legacy left behind by the revered monarch.
