Governor Ademola Adeleke has charged top government officials to intensify efforts toward the timely delivery of ongoing projects across Osun State, declaring that his would not tolerate distractions in the discharge of its governance mandate.
According to a statement by Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the governor gave the directive on Sunday night during a review meeting with key officials supervising projects in major towns, including Ila Orangun, Iwo, Ile-Ife, Ilesa, Osogbo and Ikirun.
Governor Adeleke stressed the need to fast-track critical infrastructure projects, particularly the mega developments underway in Ile-Ife, Iwo, Osogbo and Ikirun, among other locations.
He warned that the tempo of governance must be sustained to meet the expectations of the people.
According to him, the administration remains focused on delivering democratic dividends and will not be sidetracked by political distractions.
“I have been carrying out secret supervisions of many ongoing projects. I am impressed with the performance of our team. I saw their sleepless nights.
“We must sustain the tempo and deliver on these projects without distractions. I want to see Ila Orangun people driving on their new dual carriageway. I want to see Ile-Ife, our cradle, emerging as a brand new city.
“Iwo people are feeling the wave of modernisation already. Osogbo is a great story already.
“But we must not rest. Our response to detractors should be more delivery of democratic dividends.
“We should not allow them to stop the good work”, he noted.
Governor Adeleke further directed contractors handling various projects across the state to accelerate work, warning that any delay would not be condoned.
“All contractors are directed to double up. Osun people have strong faith in us.
“We will not allow any contractor to dash or slow down the hope of our people,” he warned.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructural renewal and improved service delivery, assuring residents that ongoing projects would be completed within stipulated timelines.
