UPDATED: Osun Assembly confirms statutory commission nominees

The Osun State House of Assembly has on Monday confirmed all nominees of Governor Ademola Adeleke in to the statutory commissions in the state.

Recall that Governor Adeleke has last week sent name of nominees to the assembly for screening and confirmation.

The commissions include, State Civil Service Commission, the Judicial Service Commission, the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission and the Osun State House of Assembly Service Commission.

While confirming the nominees at the emergency House plenary on Monday, the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Adewale Egbedun said “to enhance seamless operations in the statutory commissions and since the credentials of the nominees have been screened by the Adhoc committee constituted by the House for that purpose, it is important and urgent for the House to confirm them.”

He therefore enjoined the Chairmen and members of the commissions to do everything within their powers to justify the trust being vested in them by the governor as well as the good people of the State.

The confirmed Chairmen and members of the Commissions are:
