Eid-el-Fitr: Rep. Bamidele Salam Urges Unity, Compassion as Muslims Mark End of Ramadan

Representative Bamidele Salam has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting period, calling on Nigerians to uphold the values of unity, compassion, and peaceful coexistence as we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.
In a goodwill message marking the end of the holy month, the lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State at the National Assembly rejoiced with Muslim faithful, commending their dedication to prayer, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal throughout Ramadan.
He noted that the discipline and virtues cultivated during the period remain vital to building a stronger and more harmonious society.
“On this auspicious occasion, I heartily rejoice with the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting period.”
“The lessons of patience, love, and unity must not end with Ramadan but should continue to guide our daily interactions and national life,” he stated.
Rep. Salam emphasized that Eid-el-Fitr is not only a time of celebration but also an opportunity for reflection and recommitment to shared values that promote peace and national development.
He urged citizens to extend love and support to the less privileged, while also using the festive period to pray for the unity, stability, and progress of Nigeria.
“Happy Eid-el-Fitr to all Muslim family, friends, and associates. May this season bring renewed hope, abundant blessings, and lasting happiness to every home,” he added.
The lawmaker reaffirmed his dedication to fostering inclusiveness and strengthening bonds across religious and cultural divides, stressing that Nigeria’s strength lies in its unity and diversity.
