Governor Adeleke Orders Rehabilitation of Olaiya Bridge

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has ordered immediate rehabilitation of Olaiya bridge in Osogbo, the Osun state, ahead of the commissioning of the new Okefia flyover bridge, Osogbo
The Governor had a stop over at the Olaiya bridge on Sunday and directed immediate action to put the bridge in proper shape owing to the worsening state of the bridge.
He directed the Ministry of Works to review the status of the bridge, clean it up, fix any noticed shortcomings and make it complementary to the bigger and more standard Okefia and Lameco flyover bridges.
“The ministry of Works should immediately act on this Olaiya bridge. Let us clean it up. It is a state asset. We must ensure its proper maintenance. This should be done before we commission Okefia bridge
“I believe government is a continuum. All inherited projects are being completed by our government and all completed projects by the previous administrations must be appropriately maintained”, the governor stated.
