The Osun State Security Network Agency codenamed Amotekun, has arrested a man, Muritala Ibrahim, who allegedly defiled a 10-year-old girl.
The suspect, a 35-year-old, allegedly defiled the girl, in Agba, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State.
Ibrahim was arrested after the girl’s mother complained to the Amotekun Boripe Command.
Confirming the incident, the Corps Commander, Osun Amotekun, CSP Isaac Omoyele (rtd), in a statement on Monday revealed that Ibrahim allegedly lured the girl into his residence, where he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
Omoyele added that Ibrahim also shaved part of the girl’s hair and gave her another dress to wear.
He said, “Upon preliminary investigation, the suspect confessed to perpetrating the act by defiling the young girl.
“He has been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.”
