● I will Deliver Your Message to Mr Governor-Yeye Adeleke-Sanni
The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Akanbi has repeated his support and commendation for Governor Ademola Adeleke, declaring that anybody opposing the Governor is fighting the anointed of God.
The paramount ruler and prescribed authority for the three local governments in Iwoland made the assertion while receiving Yeye Dupe Adeleke-Sanni in his palace on Saturday.
The Monarch said God made the election of Governor Adeleke a reality and that the Governor remains the Olosun of Osun who must be supported to succeed in his governance of the state.
Commending the administration so far in his good governance delivery, Oluwo affirmed that anybody fighting the governor is incurring the wrath of God, declaring that the palace will continue to pray for the state government.
The Oluwo, accompanied by members of the Iwo Board of Trustees, also praised the Adeleke family for their love for Iwoland , listing several ongoing projects and asking for more support for the ancient town.
Yeye Adeleke -Sanni after a closed door meeting, told the monarch and the traditional council that she would deliver the message from the palace to the state governor.
According to Yeye Sanni, Governor Adeleke loves in Iwo deeply, hence the personal attention of the Governor to Iwo, including the plan to reconstruct Iwo-Ejigbo road.
The matriarch of the Adeleke family said her visit was a private one but that she would submit requests from Iwo people to the state governor for further action.
While thanking the royal father for the rousing welcome, Yeye Sanni said the Governor had pledged to complete Iwo-Osogbo road as well as commence the dualisation of Odo Ori-Adeke main road within Iwo township.
“I appreciate this rousing welcome from Iwo people and the palace in particular. I have taken notes of all the issues. We have a listening governor. I will deliver your message to His Excellency”, she promised the monarch and Iwo elders at the palace
