As Osun State marks 34th anniversary of its creation, the Deputy Senate Minority Leader, Senator Kamorudeen Oyewunmi, has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for urshering in a new phase of “growth and stability”.
In a statement released by his media office on Wednesday, Oyewunmi congratulated the people and government of Osun, praising the governor for redefining leadership through people-centered governance.
“I commend Governor Ademola Adeleke for redefining leadership through people centered governance, remarkable development strides, and prioritization of citizens’ welfare. He noted that Osun, under Adeleke, has entered a new phase of growth and stability anchored on transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness”, he said.
The Senator specifically highlighted the state financial turnaround as a primary indicator of the administrations success, citing the recently released financial data showing the Osun’s Internally Generated Revenue(IGR) had surged from 25.3billion in 2023 to an impressive 54.7 billion in 2024.
Oyewunmi also stressed the governors achievements across the state, including massive road rehabilitation and construction projects, improved healthcare, investments in education among others, as evidence of the government commitment to citizens welfare.
“He praised the government’s massive road rehabilitation and construction projects, improved healthcare delivery, investments in education, prompt payment of salaries and pensions, and strides in rural development. He pointed to electricity projects, boreholes, and rural access roads that have brought governance closer to previously neglected communities, stressing that Adeleke’s pro-masses policies are reviving the economy, uplifting living standards, and ensuring that Osun people can truly see and feel governance at work”, the statement added
Senator Oyewunmi also emphasized strides in rural development, pointing to new electricity projects, boreholes and rural access roads that have brought governance closer to previously neglected communities.
