B-Red Escapes Alleged Assassination Attempt in Osogbo

Adebayo Adeleke, popularly known as B-Red and son of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reportedly escaped an alleged assassination attempt in Osogbo.
In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, the Osun State Government called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the suspect, urging security agencies to act swiftly to bring those responsible to justice.
The incident, which occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, took place in the Oke-Fia area near the Government House.
According to B-Red, he was attacked by a group of motorcycle riders allegedly wearing caps branded with AMBO, who attempted to intercept his vehicle while he was returning from a brief errand at Alekuwodo Market.
“As I went out to buy some items around Alekuwodo Market, I suddenly noticed some okada riders with AMBO caps trying to surround my vehicle at a traffic point under Oke-Fia Bridge,” he recounted.
“As we tried to move away, a white Toyota Venza approached us, and I heard shouts of ‘It is him! It is him!’”
He further alleged that the vehicle, along with several motorcycles, pursued him in what appeared to be an attempt to block his movement.
“As we moved, the Toyota Venza chased us and tried to obstruct my jeep, while the motorcycles joined in the pursuit. The chase continued until we reached the gate of the Osun State Government House at Oke-Fia,” he said.
B-Red claimed that one of the occupants of the vehicle was a man identified as Asiri Eniba, whom he described as a known political thug.
“We identified one of the occupants of the vehicle as Asiri Eniba,” he added.
The incident has since been reported to the police for investigation.
