Adeleke University Debunks Report Linking Monimichelle Sports to Stadium Project

Adeleke University has debunked reports alleging that Monimichelle Sports, the contractor handling the Osogbo Stadium project, also constructed the university’s sports complex.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the management of the institution described the report as false and misleading, stressing that Monimichelle Sports had no involvement whatsoever in the construction of the university’s sporting facilities.
“The attention of the management of Adeleke University has been drawn to a false news report alleging that the contractor handling Osogbo Stadium was the same firm that constructed the Adeleke University Stadium,” the statement read.
The university clarified that the sports complex was executed by a completely different contractor, adding that it had no relationship with the company being mentioned in the report.
“The report is false as the firm in question, Monimichelle Sports, did not construct the Adeleke University sports complex.
“The university authority does not know the company referenced, nor does it have any information about its ownership or operations,” the statement added.
The management further urged the public and media organisations to disregard the report linking Monimichelle Sports to the university project.
“Members of the public and relevant agencies are hereby informed that Adeleke University’s sports facilities were built by a different contractor entirely, not Monimichelle Sports as alleged,” the statement stated.
The institution also advised journalists and members of the public to seek clarification from its official communications office for verified information regarding projects undertaken by the university.
