The Osun State House of Assembly has announced its recess in observance of the Eid-el-Mubarak celebration, following an executive meeting held by the members on Monday.
The decision which was made known in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Olamide Tiamiyu noted that it marks a temporary pause in legislative activities as the assembly members take time to celebrate this significant festive occasion.
It further noted that Osun assembly members, headed by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun expressed their commitment to addressing the concerns of their constituents and ensuring that governance remains responsive and effective.
The statement reads in part, “The Osun Assembly is scheduled to resume its sessions on Monday, 16th June, where members will reconvene to continue with pending legislation and oversight functions.
“The break provides an opportunity for members to engage with their communities, gather feedback, and better understand the needs of the people they represent during this festive period.
“The Speaker, however, stressed the importance of community engagement during the recess, encouraging constituents to reach out and share their thoughts and concerns.”
