Ilobu Killing: Submit The Alleged Killer To Appropriate Authorities — TICC Tells AMBO Campaign

The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) has called on the AMBO Campaign Organisation to surrender Saheed Kareem, popularly known as “Tanfeani”, to security agencies for investigation over the killing of 14-year-old Ezekiel Olapade, warning that any attempt to shield him from the full weight of the law will be unacceptable.
The council in a statement by its Spokesperson, Pelumi Olajengbesi noted that video evidence in a viral video established the killer and the political party for which they are working.
“Contrary to what we consider the distortions and attempts by the AMBO Campaign Organisation to create an alibi for Saheed Tanfeani, a 90-second video currently in wide circulation appears to show him at the scene and allegedly shooting in the direction where young Ezekiel was killed. It is even more concerning that the vehicle which allegedly conveyed Saheed Tanfeani and members of his group to the scene was branded with AMBO campaign posters and had the inscription “Ajisope” boldly displayed on it.
“It is instructive to note that individuals involved in similar shooting incidents in Owode-Ede and Osogbo on June 9, 2026, were also allegedly conveyed in AMBO-branded campaign vehicles bearing the inscription “Ajisope”. It is difficult to ignore the recurring appearance of vehicles associated with Ajisope in incidents involving violence and shootings across Osun State.
“It is therefore imperative that the Police and other security agencies invite Ajisope, whose real name is Alhaji Kabiru Adekunle, to explain any connection he may have with individuals alleged to be responsible for several violent incidents in Osun State, including the tragic killing of 14-year-old Ezekiel.
“Information available to us indicates that many individuals alleged to be involved in violent political activities are frequent visitors to Ajisope’s office in the Tinumola Area and his hotel, Kaptok Hotel, located at Adetunji Estate. We therefore urge security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure the apprehension of all persons found to be disturbing the peace of Osun State, as well as anyone sponsoring or aiding such activities.
“We strongly reject the use of violence for political purposes and remain committed to a peaceful electoral process. No political ambition should be worth the life of any citizen. We therefore call on the appropriate authorities to take decisive action against anyone found culpable in this matter, so as to serve as a deterrent to others.
“We once again express our deepest sympathy to the Olapade family over the tragic loss of Ezekiel. We also wish Mathew Johnson, another victim of the shooting incident who is currently receiving treatment, a speedy recovery.
“We urge the people of Osun State not to be discouraged in their determination to exercise their constitutional right to vote in the August 15 governorship election. The objective of those who engage in violence is to create fear and intimidate citizens into staying away from the polls. Osun people are known for their courage and resilience, and we must not surrender to those who believe violence can determine political outcomes.”
